Heart is joy. Heart is passion. Heart is commitment. Heart is challenging expectations and rising against the competition. Heart is symbolic of the Nine Network.
Nine is committed to moving forward in 2008 and beyond with a wealth of innovative content and a new positioning that is clearly humanistic in style. David Gyngell, Nine's CEO, said of the rebuilding phase: “We need to lift, and lift we will. I'm personally committed to a long and tough fight and it’s my job to return Nine to its historical profitable position of pre-eminence in Australian television. To do that, we have to change the ways of the past.”
Major investments in resources, technology, content, marketing and the development of staff are at the heart of Nine’s rebuilding phase.
With a slate of over 40 new programs launching throughout 2008, plus the rights to broadcast the 2010 Winter and 2012 Summer Olympics, Nine’s schedule is looking fresh and strong.
Nine will focus on attracting viewers for 365 days a year and delivering consistent audiences for strong advertising platforms throughout the schedule.
Success in programming goes hand in hand with marketing. In 2008 Nine will double marketing efforts, with an increased spend across all media.
Nine’s sales approach for 2008 is founded on listening to client feedback. The aim is to deliver engaged marketing solutions around key programming, including content integration and cross platform extensions.
Nine has always been at the heart of Australian television, and always will be.
